Libera, Keratsuda Orange 2022

Libera was founded in 2013 and is a relatively new project on the wine map of Bulgaria. Focusing predominantly on local Bulgarian grape varieties, their goal is to show the true face and potential of Bulgarian wine by combining local traditions and the contemporary vision of the team. Libera strongly believe that great wine is made in properly cared for vineyards, and a dedicated team of locals are involved in both the cultivation of the vineyards and the grape harvest. Keratsuda Orange 2022 is made from 100% Keratsuda, an ancient Bulgarian white grape which has recently seen a bit of a resurgence. Dark gold with amber reflections, it has the typical Keratsuda aromas of pear, apricot and white flowers. The palate is juicy and very fresh with pronounced tannins balanced with a refreshing acidity. Medium bodied, intense and moreish, it's a cracking orange wine to pair with Asian cuisine.
